Chintan Pandya is the James Beard award winning executive chef at Unapologetic Foods. He was born in Mumbai and studied at the Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development where he trained under the finest chefs from Oberoi Hotels. Chintan also traveled throughout the sub-continent developing a deep connection with the way locals ate and became well-versed in the bold spices and foods of the Indian people. He left India for bigger opportunities, and his culinary career took him to a diverse set of locales which led him to New York. He met restaurateur Roni Mazumdar in 2017 and the two bonded over their passion for presenting Indian food in its purest form hence the name “Unapologetic Foods.” Since then, the duo has earned worldwide acclaim for their restaurants which include Dhamaka; Michelin-starred Semma; Adda Indian Canteen; Masalawala & Sons; and the fast casual concepts Rowdy Rooster and soon to be debuted Kebabwala. @chefchintan
