John Michael ‘05 is director for culinary and hospitality education at the National Institute for Culinary and Hospitality Education. With 20 years of front and back of house experience in London, New York, and California and almost a decade in educational leadership, John was recently recruited to found the National Institute for Culinary and Hospitality Education (NICHE) in Wichita, Kansas. The NICHE, founded on the principles of innovation, sustainability, and accessibility, will bring a new level of sophistication and appreciation to the Great Plains, honoring its traditions while raising the bar.
